A note from m. craig : Back in September 2011, I started Papercut Press and published The Narrows - a queer high fantasy coming out story that uses magic to talk about social justice and environmental issues. At that time there was such a lack of LGBTQ voices in the fantasy genre that it made more sense to self publish and rely on the help of friends and fellow artists to share the work, rather than looking to traditional publishing. (what a beautiful thing, now, to see the representation of queer voices in the sci-fi and fantasy genres flourish!) That choice led to so many adventures, experiences, chance meetings, and wild collaborations. Getting to publish Gina Tron’s memoir you’re fine. has been a true honor. Getting to work with all of the artists and writers in the papercut annual 2013 was a true honor. I will forever be grateful to what The Narrows and papercut have given me.
